embodies the American idea of a true entertainer. This aspect of her personality can be
traced to her childhood, steeped in music and the world of theatre and cinema.
From her mother, Award-winning American jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, China
inherited the ability to work towards long-term. Her father, Gilbert Moses, was a committed
television and film director, responsible for series like Roots and the cult film Willy
Dynamite. He taught China the value of hard work.
